DETAILS

The Trans BC - Pano 3 day event is where you will join the last 3 days of the 6 day event. These 3 days are an alpine adventure that consists predominately all in the alpine and have a true backcountry feel, based on the the trails up Panorama and across the way at Toby Creek Adventures / Paradise Basin

Dates: July 10-12, 2024

Location: Panorama Mountain Resort and Toby Creek Adventures 

 

SCHEDULE

  • July 9: Arrive by the evening if you are in the all inclusive package (accommodation included that night)

  • July 10: Registration 8.30am'ish. Rider Briefing and start (time to be confirmed)

  • July 12: Dinner for everyone (including Self Support). Awards after dinner. (*Accommodation included for all inclusive riders)

COURSE:

  • We are up in the mountains and alpine areas for nearly the entire course each day

  • Day 1 will be on Paradise side (Toby Creek Adventures), on brand new trails that haven't even been finished yet. All single black raw trails that have a few sections of steep pitches and some good tech to keep everyone on their game, traversing through some old mine ruins along the way. The day will include a shuttle part way up for everyone, where you will be doing 3 stages up high, then coming back down to the lower mountain for a final stage that has some good spice

  • Day 2 and 3 will be up in the alpine on Pano side where you will take 2 x chair lifts to get you to the start line for both days. You will stay up high most of the day until you do the final descent of the day. Each day will include 1 x hike a bike that will be 45-60mins long where part of this hike a bike will be easier to carry the bike.  

  • These are all full adventure, off the beaten path and full blow your mind days where there isn't many other places like it in BC

  • You should be a solid single black skilled rider and have a solid fitness to get the most out of this event and enjoy it

  • For the most part the trails are truly just super fun but there will be sections of steeper pitches and tech terrain that will keep all riders on their toes and to challenge everyone!

  • Expect approx 21-29km each day with approx 1000-1200m of climbing. This might seem not bad, but the terrain is slow moving on the climbs with the hiking of bikes etc so you will be out there for a good chunk of the day. 

SELF SUPPORT - WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • 2 days include 2 lift bump ups

  • 1 day includes a shuttle bump up

  • Dinner on final day with awards after

  • Food Station on day 1 and beginning of day 2 and 3 for grab and go's for your pack for the day

  • Snack station at the end of the ride

  • Raw, unique, magical course hand selected, some brand newly hand built, some 100+ year old horse and mining trails cleared out and bought back to life just for you guys. Professionally marked and ready to go

  • Many trail dig days leading into the event to have all trails ready to go

  • High skilled medic team, on bikes and ready to leap into any scenario

  • 35+ volunteer team including course crew, food station, logistics, media and more, all there ready to give you a helping hand and maybe a little heckling!

  • Beer at the end of each day

ALL INCLUSIVE - WHAT'S INCLUDED:

  • Everything above plus:

  • 4 nights accommodation in Pano Hotel and Condos (twin share rooms - eg 2 beds / 2 people allocated to each room), if you aren't coming with anyone, then you will be paired up with someone else. If you are coming with more friends in your group then 2, then we can put you in a 2 or 3 brm condo to keep you all together

  • 3 x meals per day (buffet hot breakfast, lunch wrap / fully loaded sandwich and snacks, buffet dinner)

CAMPING / SELF SUPPORT:

  • We are working with Toby Creek Adventures to have an allocated base and camping area for you all. They do intend to put in a permanent campground at Toby Creek but it most likely won't be ready for the event but they will accommodate something for the event

  • We will update you when we know more and expect it to be a super cool place to base yourselves out of for the event

CANCELLATION POLICY:

 

  • 75% refund - up to January 1, 2024

  • 50% refund - from January 1 to March 1, 2024

  • 25% refund from March 1 to May 1, 2024

  • NO REFUNDS after May 1, 2024
